“Judgment and Salvation,” VII, Isaiah 65:8) Thus SAITH THE LORD, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one saith, Destroy it not; for a Blessing is in it; so will I DO FOR MY Servant’s Sakes, That I MAY NOT DESTROY THEM ALL  9) AND I WILL BRING FORTH A SEED OUT OF JACOB, AND OUT OF JUDAH AN INHERITOR OF MY MOUNTAINS: AND MINE ELECT SHALL INHERIT IT, AND MY SERVANTS SHALL DWELL THERE.  Matthew 24:22.  10) And Sharon shall be a fold of flocks, and the valley of Achor a place for the herds to lie down in, FOR MY PEOPLE THAT HAVE SOUGHT ME.  Hosea 2:15.

Nelson’s Compact Bible Commentary – v8, New wine represents the servants (54:17); the otherwise unproductive cluster represents all Israel (5:1, 2).  Servants include “the remnant,” as well as foreigners (56:6).    v9, I WILL Bring Forth Descendants Is FULFILLED IN CHRIST AND IN ALL THOSE THAT ARE FOUND IN HIM (Galatians 3:16, 26-29).   Jacob and Judah represent all Israel.  v10, Sharon, in the west, and the valley of Achor, in the east, denote the whole land.

Quest Study Bible – v10, “Sharon … valley of Achor,”   Sharon was a swamp beside the Mediterranean south of Mount Carmel (see Map 2 at the back of this Bible).  Achor, which means trouble, was a desert area near the Dead Sea.  Both were unsuitable for grazing land.  But GOD’S SALVATION WOULD TRANSFORM THE LAND as dramatically as turning these two places into good pasture.

Matthew Henry’s Concise Bible Commentary – v8-10, In The Bunch Of Unripe Grapes, At Present Of No Value, The New Wine Is Contained.  The Jews have been kept a Distinct People, that all may witness The Fulfillment of Ancient Prophecies and Promises.  GOD’S CHOSEN The Spiritual Seed Of Praying Jacob, Shall Inherit HIS MOUNTAINS OF BLISS OF JOY, And Be Carried Safe To Them Through The Vale Of Tears.  ALL THINGS ARE FOR THE DISPLAY OF GOD’S GLORY IN THE REDEMPTION OF SINNERS.  Amen.
